A delegation headed by Her Excellency Dr. Maitha bint Salem Al Shamsii, Minister of State for UAE, said the humanitarian aid of UAE has provided around one million and 716 thousand dollars for Rohingya and will continue to lend a helping hand and provide humanitarian aid to the Rohingya minority in Myanmar and support efforts to relieve suffering and improve the humanitarian situation and to support the initiatives of the Government of Myanmar to promote harmony among different ethnicities and sects.
Also stressed the importance that these forgotten minority crisis draws the attention of the world and the international community, calling on the United Nations to carry out its responsibilities and obligations in this regard.
This came during its participation in the extraordinary meeting of the Foreign Ministers of OIC in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to discuss the issue of the Rohingya Muslim minority in Myanmar.
