Turkish Minister of Culture and Tourism Mr. Numan Kurtulmuş is to visit the Rohingya refugee camps in Bangladesh on Sunday to attend the tourism conference of the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
According to information obtained by Anadolu Agency, he intends to visit the Rohingya camps on the border and to see their situation and to stand close to the functioning of humanitarian services provided by relief organizations.
He will travel to the camps on the border between Bangladesh and Myanmar after the conference and hold bilateral meetings with a number of his counterparts from Islamic countries on Sunday.
The crimes of the Myanmar army and extremist Buddhist militias against the Rohingya in the Arakan province have led to the use of 826,000 people in neighboring Bangladesh, including 656,000 who have fled since August 25, according to the United Nations.
