The United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, Prince Zeid bin Ra’ad al-Hussein, condemned Myanmar’s refusal to let an international commission to investigate violations against the Muslim minority Rohingya.
This came in a speech last Tuesday at the opening session of the 35th session of the United Nations Human Rights Council, which will be held until the 23rd of June.
He criticized the attempt by Myanmar to take the United Nations Commission to other locations far from the areas of abuse.
The session will discuss a number of human rights issues of certain States that call for violations taking place on its territory, with the attention of the Council, particularly on Syria and Myanmar.
