The Turkish Diyanet Foundation distributed 2048 food baskets to the Muslims of the State of Myanmar, those suffer from oppression.
Project coordinator Mr. Noureddine Zounar said that the foundation is the only institution that can go to the Myanmar Muslim camps and provide aid to them, noting that the foundation has access to 8 camps in the city of Sittwe in Myanmar.
Zounar added that the foundation had previously distributed 800 food baskets to Myanmar Muslims in Malaysia.
The project coordinator pointed out that the Muslims of Myanmar suffer from difficult humanitarian conditions because of the lack of drinking water, lack of access to treatment and weak education, noting that the foundation provides assistance to those unable to continue their educational journey through the assistance provided in the camps or bringing students to Turkey.
It should be noted that The Turkish Diyanet Foundation carried out projects in 64 countries around the world throughout the month of Ramadan, under the slogan “Your brother is right by you.”
