The Kuwaiti Relief for “Rohingya” Participates in DIHAD 2017

The Kuwaiti Relief Team of the Najat Charity Association participated in the Dubai International Conference and Exhibition (DIHAD) 2017 held from 21st -23rd March at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Center.
The delegation included the team leader Ms. Janan Al Enezi, Vice President Ms. Siham Al Shehhi, General Coordinator Mohammed Al Ajmi, and the Director of the Relief Work Department of the Society of Survival Eng. Thamer Al-Suhaib.
In this regard, Janan Al Enezi said that participation in DIHAD was beneficial experience as the conference included several international organizations and bodies in addition to a number of executives and decision makers.
The conference was held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai and with the support of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Humanitarian Aid, the United Nations, the UAE Red Crescent Authority, the International Humanitarian City and the Dubai Cares Campaign.

And the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), affirming that the Organization is striving to contribute to the enhancement of international humanitarian and development assistance, to building bridges among the various participating entities, to stablish cooperation among them to meet the needs of those affected by crises and disasters, and enabling providers to communicate with relevant government and government stakeholders to create serious synergies in support of those in need.
On the activities carried out by the Kuwaiti team for the relief of Rohingya at the conference, Al-Enezi said that the team held fruitful meetings with several bodies including the UAE Red Crescent, the International Humanitarian City, the Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities, the Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, King Salman Relief and Humanitarian and Hayat foundation.
These meetings dealt with cooperation in serving the cause of the Rohingya Muslims.

As well as the importance of highlighting the suffering of the marginalized minorities in the world, especially the world’s most persecuted Rohingya minority, as described by the United Nations.
The team visited the booth of the Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities in Dubai, during their visit its Director General, Hamad bin Ahmed Al Shaibani, was honored for his efforts in the field of charitable work.
Al-Enezi concluded by saying: “The Kuwaiti team for Rohingya hopes that its next participation in DIHAD 2018 will have a special booth in which the efforts made in the cause of the Rohingya Muslims will be presented and will be a front for Kuwaiti charity work.”
