Arakan News Agency

Arakan news agency reported that young Buddhists carrying  weapons began to plunder the property of the remaining Rohingya Muslims after almost all of them fled villages in northern Arakan state.
There were frequent looting and theft of livestock and poultry from Rohingya homes.
According to the correspondent, young men carrying long swords roam the Muslim villages to rob their livestock and their clothes and food under the threat of killing them, while the silence prevails among the Rohingya out of fear of the reaction of the army and armed Buddhist militias.
The Buddhist militias are protected by the Myanmar army in Arakan province, which confirms the reports of the United Nations of systematic persecution and planned displacement of the Rohingya Muslims by preventing them from carrying out their normal life by organized campaigns of ethnic cleansing.
