Taxes on Rohingya in Myanmar for living in their hometowns

A correspondent of ANA reported that the mayor of the town of Son Bonnya in Maungdaw has announced on Friday after Jumma prayers that Muslims has to pay taxes in exchange for housing in the town.
The correspondent said that the mayor threatened Rohingya population of the army and government by allowing them to attack, torture and rape of women in the event of non-payment of taxes and stay in the town, pointing out that the mayor had extorted Rohingya population earlier and came back blackmailed again.
