Swedish Parliament on 2nd February embraced a seminar on the status of Rohingya ethnic minority in Myanmar held by Swedish organizations and institutions interested in Myanmar affairs.
Participants at the seminar stressed the urgent need to deliver humanitarian aid to areas of conflict and expressed the government ‘s concern of the human rights situation in Myanmar, in particular the development of Rohingya minority.
Officials said that Sweden is in the process of setting up of a new strategy of cooperation with Myanmar, in support for a comprehensive development of peace and human rights.
