South Korea begins to receive Rohingya refugees

The South Korean government will receive 30 Rohingya refugees this week as part of a UN-designed resettlement program, Asian media said.

According to the newspaper “tempo.co”, 23 people arrived at Incheon Airport in Seoul, and is scheduled to arrive seven others in August from a refugee camp in Thailand.
According to the newspaper, the program is part of the reception of 86 refugees Rohingya in the first phase, and received Seoul 22 refugees in 2015 and 34 others in 2016.
