The march was initiated by Human Rights activist and leader of welfare party India Mr. Preme G. Pisharody.
Students Islamic Organization (SIO) leader Mr. Amjad Ali E.M. delivered the keynote speech while requesting the Indian government to enhance it’s policy regarding Rohingya refugees.
Girls Islamic Organization (GIO) leader Aanisa K. Muhayudeen and other humanitarian activists like Shefrin K.M and Ashraf Kondotty were part of the march.
The march was titled “Stop State Supported Ethnic Cleansing in Myanmar” and it was held in Marine Drive, Kochi also it was participated by more than 250 students.
After marching, A photo exhibition was held highlighting the plight of the Rohingya Muslims at the Marine Drive, which has attracted many personalities including Human rights activists and advocates from Kerala high court.
