Rohingya delegation meets United Nations special rapporteur in Geneva

Arakan Rohingya Union (ARU) and the Global Rohingya Center (GRC) met the United Nations special rapporteur to Burma Ms. Yanghee Lee on the sidelines of the 28th session of Human Rights Council of the United Nations in Geneva.
During the meeting, they discussed aspects of cooperation between the two sides and ways of enhancing them also discussed the risks to ethnic Rohingya from abuses in Arakan State Burma and ways of activating the UN resolutions in ground.

The meeting was attended by Director General of Arakan Rohingya Union (ARU) Dr. Waqar Uddin and head of the legal sector in the Global Rohingya Center (GRC) Dr. Tahir Mohammad Siraj
It is noteworthy that the words of the delegation participated in the session were to call upon the Government of Burma to respect the United Nations resolutions, respect for the rights of minorities in the country, to stop all human rights violations and commitments with ethical principles in dealing with Rohingya minority rights.
