Qatar worried about the Rohingya situation and calls for Myanmar to stop violence against them

The Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, HE Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi said his country is deeply concerned as the High Commissioner for Human Rights report emerges on the Rohingya minority Muslims situation in Myanmar, noting that what is happening now is the untold human misery is the result of the failure of the international community to act decisively, where he also remained that the world has ignored this issue for many years.
Muraikhi called on the Myanmar government to take decisive measures to stop the acts of violence and discrimination against Rohingya minority Muslims and to eliminate the root causes of this problem, also to work to ensure a genuine dialogue between the various segments of society to enhance the chances of peaceful coexistence, and to promote social and economic development in Arakan province.
He also stressed the need to hold accountable all those who promote hate speech and incite violence, and to hold accountable all those responsible for the violations committed against the Rohingya minority.
