More than 400 Rohingya have died in Hurricane Komen

For his part, the general supervisor of the Global Rohingya Center (GRC) Dr. Ahmed Baghdadi said “we do not know exactly yet the size of needs to be provided to those affected Rohingya because of their presence in areas still under water, and difficult to reach them only through helicopters,” and added: “we address conscience to the Islamic world, especially Turkey which has carried out several relief projects for Rohingya previously. ” Baghdadi further added “the funding exists but associations and charities are prohibited from entering in Arakan because of the intransigence of the Burmese government in implementation of the policy of racial discrimination against the Rohingya.” He explained that “Muslims in general failed to highlight the Rohingya despite the magnitude of the tragedy that they witness”.
