Abdullah Maruf discussed during the meeting about the tragedy of Rohingya people in Myanmar, and the ethnic cleansing operations against them for years also the efforts of the center, to define the world regarding the suffering experienced by the Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar.
For his part, Mr. Gofal explained that Anadolu will always state the suffering of the Rohingya and also the suffering of all the oppressed in the world, stressing that the agency will continue its interest in the Rohingya issue and the news related to them.
The organization “Human Rights Watch” – that monitors human rights – accused in 2013 of government officials in Arakan State, western Myanmar; committing ethnic cleansing against the Rohingya Muslims.
