Increased in pace of night raids and random arrests against Rohingya in Arakan

Burmese authorities arrested four young Rohingya people late at night from the village of Godusara South Maungdaw city in Arakan, they were accused of having smartphones including SIM cards from Bangladesh and machetes kept inside their homes, according to the correspondent of the Arakan news agency (ANA).

In details by reporter that more than 70 members of the security forces imposed a security cordon around the village near dawn then raided all the houses in the village for inspections in an arbitrary manner, adding that the authorities had to break the doors of houses and tampering with its contents including the confiscation of property valuables and beating, torture the parents before four of them were arrested on various charges, and taken to prison without knowing their fate.

On the other hand the Burmese authorities in the village of Hansorata South Maungdaw city arrested of four Rohingya girls from inside their home after being searched and taken away by the authorities according to the source.
In this context, local observers noted that recent weeks have seen a significant increase in the frequency of night raids, arbitrary arrests carried out by the Burmese authorities a systematic way against the Rohingyas in Arakan, while trying to put pressure on the people and force them to accept green cards to the effect that the holder’s identity verification is in process.
