Arrest and torture of Rohingya man at the hands of the Burmese authorities

A Rohingya man in his fifties was arrested by Burmese authoritie from inside his home in the village Khuwarbil in the city of Maungdaw without any charges against him according to the correspondent of Arakan News Agency (ANA), the correspondent added that the authorities raided his home and beat him severely before he was arrested and taken to a nearby police station. A number of relatives of the detainee after their visit to the prison reported that their relative is exposed to psychological pressure and great physical torture during the interrogation conducted by the authorities without giving him any details regarding the arrest.
It resembles to the arrest of thousands of Rohingyas in Burmese prison since 2012 without trial or charge, according to human rights reports issued by international organizations.
