A Rohingya man and his son were killed in a landslide

A Rohingya man and his son were killed Saturday morning in a landslide north of Buthidaung city, east of Arakan province, Myanmar.

Arakan news agency reports that the Rohingya man and his son were paving a path for cattle passage to the mountain of the north of the city before the end of the mountain collapsed and the two were buried deeper than 20 meters.

More than 100 local people gathered to search for the bodies and were able to extract the son’s body from a depth of 10 meters but stopped the search on Saturday due to the lack of light in the evening to continue the search.
Local residents vowed to complete on Sunday morning and to bury them together.
