A new group of Rohingya refugees arrived in Bangladesh on Thursday in a sporadic form to escape from what they called the policy of forced displacement in Arakan state.
The number of new arrivals has yet to be estimated, but their were women, children and men in poor conditions psychologically and in poor state of health, according to video footage obtained by the Arakan news agency.

A number of arrivals said that the reason for their escape from Arakan was the continued policy of forced displacement by Buddhist extremists and government forces, which had recently set fire to dozens of Rohingya homes in the number of their villages.
The spokesman added that there is a general situation of lack of food, security and sources of gain.
A number of refugees reported that the government authorities threatened the remaining Rohingya with murder and arrest, describing them as illegal immigrants.

A Rohingya man just arrived said authorities had surrounded a number of people trying to cross into Bangladesh, harassed women and girls, detained the men and forced them to record photo certificates without harming them to escape.

Despite the signing of a convention on the return of refugees by the Government of Myanmar and Bangladesh, practices such as the burning, confinement and killing of Rohingya homes continue to occur in areas where refugees are to return.
