Myanmar forces Rohingya to dig off their captured lands

11 February 2018

Arakan News Agency

Arakan news agency reported that the Myanmar authorities have forced a number of Muslims in the city of Maungdaw to work in areas previously seized from the Rohingya.
Rohingya activists took pictures and they said the authorities forced the Rohingya to dig and set it up for a barbed wire fence.
Local residents pointed out that this method is known to them as the authorities deliberately seize land and then start building their projects inside.
Since 2012, Arakan has witnessed a continuing state of violence against Muslims that has killed thousands and displaced more than a million people abroad, most of them in Bangladesh.
