The Myanmar authorities in Arakan state warned the Rohingya Muslims not to meet with the foreign delegation currently visiting the region and not to provide them with information.
According to the observatory, the authorities have threatened to punish those responsible by killing and arresting them.
The region is currently visited by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), Filippo Grandi, at a time when the country is witnessing ongoing violations by the security forces against the Muslim minority of Rohingya.
