A group of young Rohingyas were brutally attacked by Myanmar regime troops while returning home after work in the southern city of Maungdaw, Arakan State in western Myanmar.

Arakan news agency reported that a group of army personnel in Kulong, south of the city of Maungdaw, arrested and beat up Rohingya youths. One of them was severely injured in a state where lack of treatment in government hospitals for Rohingya is a justification.

The Rohingya activists told the agency that the Myanmar government was imposing a curfew on them and restricting their movement, preventing them from leaving their homes for work, and making them to pay fines from time to time on trumped-up charges.
