According to local media on Sunday that MSF asked its doctors to stay away from politics if the organization as it has decided to resume aid operations in western Myanmar.
The minister of Arakan State-Rakhine said that many locals do not trust the organization, said it handled gently in this fragile social environment.
The Minister Maung Maung Ohn said importance ‘to help the organization to resume operations with caution and stay away from any movement of the crowd like a group or individuals.’
He said ‘It is better to focus on humanitarian efforts and to build confidence and credibility with citizens in a transparent manner.’
The minister had met last Saturday with representatives of the organization and coordination of local emergency committee set up by the local Buddhists last March to monitor the work of international aid groups.
The government had expelled the organization from Arakan State-Rakhine last February, accusing it of siding with the Muslims Rohingyas during the recent sectarian violence.
The organization called on the government on July 24, at last to resume its work in the state, where resulted in violence since the middle of 2012 killed hundreds and displaced thousands, mostly Muslims, who represent a minority in the state.
