Master’s degree thesis on Arakan News Agency’s efforts to raise the Rohingya issue

Emir Abdelkader University in Algeria, represented by the Faculty of the origins of religion, the Department of Advocacy, Information and Communication Master degree on a scientific message presented by student Laila Taher for her thesis on the efforts of Arakan News Agency to introduce the issue of Rohingya through social media – an analytical study and the student received a very good rating.

The Arakan News Agency, an agency specialized in monitoring and publishing news of the oppressed Rohingya minority in Myanmar was founded in 2012.
On this occasion the Director of the Rohingy Media Center and the head of the Arakan news agency, Mr. Salah Abdul-Shakur, congratulated the student on the degree in an interview in this regard: congratulations to student Laila Taher to this degree and this is a great honor for Arakan news agency to receive this s interest, pointing out that the issue of Rohingya needs specialized media coverage to raise the awareness about the violations against the Rohingyas in the state of Arakan.

He added “We were very pleased with the student’s interest in the Rohingya issue and was an example of diligence and follow-up.”

The Arakan news agency, which publishes its news in Arabic and English, has received the confidence of many media and international agencies and has been able to hold dozens of media partnerships in a short period of time to intensify the publication and follow-up of the Rohingya issue in Myanmar.
