Malaysian organizations announce second medical campaign for Rohingya refugees

Malaysian organizations announced last Sunday about the launch of a new medical campaign for Rohingya refugees in Malaysia in the middle of next month after its first campaign carried out on 11th April in the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur.

This came at a meeting held by Selima Organization and MAPIM with the participation of the Global Rohingya Center (GRC) in the Malaysian capital of Kuala Lumpur to discuss ways to develop the campaign also to develop future plans and goals for these campaigns to improve the medical services provided to Rohingya refugees.

GRC Executive Director Farid Abdul-Jabbar told Arakan news agency that the meeting resulted in the date of the next campaign, which was approved on May 14th in the Ampang area of ​​Kuala Lumpur, where the largest gathering of Rohingyas are located.

He added that organizers are seeking to expand the campaign to target as many Rohingya refugees as possible, especially after the success of the first medical campaign, calling on local and international associations to contribute to the project.

He pointed out that there is an urgent need to open special clinics ready to treat Rohingya refugees.
