The Malaysian Consultative Council for Islamic Organization (MAPIM) last Thursday held a press conference on the Muslims of Rohingya and attended by Malaysian organizations and the various media.
Arakan News Agency reported that the conference talked about the suffering of the Rohingya Muslims and the poor humanitarian conditions they are living in Arakan province of Myanmar and the rapid events witnessed during the last two weeks of a fierce campaign against Muslims, the burning of historic mosques and the closure of Islamic schools instigated by radical Buddhists.
The Council announced that another meeting will be held soon as well as a protest against the inhuman treatment of the Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar, pointing out that it will invite all Islamic organizations in Asia and around the world also international and Human rights organizations.
