Malaysian National Security Minister Shaheedan Qasim confirmed that his government is working to implement the recent decision to allow the Rohingya ethnic cardholders to work in the industrial and agricultural sectors within three years from March, aiming to find a partial solution to the ethnic Rohingya ethnic group.

The number of refugees in Malaysia reached 150,204, of which 133,725 were from Myanmar, where the Rohingyas accounted for about 80,000 people, a Malaysian parliamentarian said.
The Minister indicated that the Government would allow refugees and asylum-seekers to obtain the right to education in private schools and non-governmental educational centers, and that UNHCR was responsible for accepting asylum applications based on the 1951 Refugee Convention.
