A Malaysian humanitarian aid plane took off on its way to the Cox-Bazar camp in Bangladesh, aimed at Rohingya refugees as part of a joint UAE-Malaysia effort to help Rohingya refugees.
Malaysian Prime Minister Mohammed Najib bin Tun Razak, Malaysian Defense and Special Forces Minister Hishamuddin Hussein and Malaysian Chief of Staff gave Farewell to the plane.
In accordance with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, the UAE provided humanitarian assistance, including foodstuffs and basic needs, to alleviate the suffering of the Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh through the UAE Red Crescent Society, as well as relief assistance provided by the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Khalifa Foundation A $ 1 million humanitarian relief fund for Rohingya refugees in Malaysia.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has ordered the dispatch of an emergency aid plane in October, as well as additional emergency assistance to meet the basic needs of more than 7,600 refugee families.
The field hospital in Cox’s Bazaar follows the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, providing medical equipment, ambulances, SUVs, mobile camps and other supplies.
The hospital was inaugurated in Bangladesh to alleviate the suffering of the Rohingya refugees in implementation of the directives of the leadership.
