Kuwait’s Al Salam Charity provided Rohingya with a series of charity projects

The Peace Society for Humanitarian and Charity Works announced its preparations for a series of major relief campaigns planned by the association in a number of countries affected by tragedies, disasters and wars, including Myanmar.

In this context, the Director General of the Society, Dr. Nabil Al-Oun, said that in its third stage of relief in Myanmar, the Society has completed the construction of more than 1,200 houses of Rohingya refugees affected by the killing and displacement in Myanmar, recalling that the single house consists of 6 families, A residential block comprising 8 houses containing 8 families.

Al-Oun said that after finding a depth of the actual needs of the Rohingyas, the association dug more than 80 surface wells that provide water for the Muslim refugees from Rohingya. Thousands of these wells have benefited from thirst to tell people and solve a very serious problem like water shortage.

He pointed out that the Assembly started preparing for the fourth convoy of the Rohingya refugees after it had finished the third few days ago. He explained that the association gives utmost importance to the refugees relief. The society provided more than 7000 full food packages, each of which lasted seven months for more than two months.

He added that the Society provided more than 2,000 full clothing for the Rohingya refugees, who are protected by the cold after they were forced to leave their homes without taking anything with them except what they wore as a clothing that is distributed as a cover for all ages and in all sizes.
