The Embassies of the three Nordic countries—Sweden, Norway and Denmark—recently carried out two joint field visits. On February 15th, the three Ambassadors and staff visited the Rohingya refugee camps in Cox’s Bazar, while on March 15th, the Swedish Ambassador and colleagues from the Swedish and Norwegian Embassies visited Bandarban to learn more about the situation of the indigenous people. On both trips, the delegates met with government officials, civil society members, representatives from NGOs, and local residents to get a better understanding of the regional political, social, and economic situation, while at the same time find opportunities to work together on common issues.
