This emergency grant, as decided on March 28, is to provide humanitarian assistances such as provision of shelter, non-food items, health services, water and sanitation, and protection, Japanese Embassy in Dhaka said on Thursday.

These assistances will be provided through the International Organization for Migration (IOM), the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in order to support the newly arrived displaced persons.
