Islamic Cooperation Organization confirmed that a resolution was adopted by the United Nations Human Rights Council unanimously submitted by the OIC for Myanmar under the title: the human rights situation of Rohingya Muslims and other minorities in Myanmar,

The resolution was adopted without a vote, the Council condemns the systematic gross violations of human rights and abuses committed against all, including Rohingya Muslims in Rakhine State; calls upon the Government of Myanmar to ensure the protection of human rights of all persons in Myanmar, including Rohingya Muslims; calls upon the Government of Myanmar to take the necessary measures to address the spread of discrimination and prejudice against Muslims; and urges the Government of Myanmar to protect places of worships belonging to all religions. The Council calls upon the Government of Myanmar to ensure the return of all refugees and persons displaced from their home; and urges it to grant full citizenship rights to Rohingya Muslims in Rakhine State. The Council requests the High Commissioner for Human Rights to present an oral update to the Council at its thirtieth Session and a report at its thirty-second Session on the human rights violations and abuses against Rohingya Muslims and other minorities in Myanmar.
