Grand Imam Ahmed al – Tayeb, of Sheikh of Al – Azhar, received Ritno Marsudi, Indonesian Foreign Minister, during a visit to Cairo, during the meeting they discuss relations between the two countries, and the tragedy of Rohingya.
The Grand Imam said Indonesia as the largest Muslim country in terms of population world, stressing the depth of relations and links between Al – Azhar and Indonesia in all fields of education and advocacy, praising the efforts of Jakarta in order to put a final solution to the tragedy of Myanmar Muslims.
For its part, the minister quoted the greetings of Indonesian President and appreciation to the Grand Imam for the efforts to bring peace in Myanmar, saying that Al – Azhar ‘s speech to resolve the Rohingya problem in Myanmar, and asked to play a more pivotal role to end this tragedy by bringing together leaders and youth in Myanmar.
