India is planning to set up an economic zone in the capital of Arakan State in Myanmar

Indian newspaper Economic Times reported that India is planning to set up an economic zone in Akyab the capital of Arakan State of Myanmar, where thousands of Rohingya Muslims live.
It is expected that it will be located near the Chinese economic zones and located 80 kilometers south of Akyab.
According to the report, the aim of this economic zone is to expand the presence of India in Southeast Asia in the midst of China’s plans to implement projects and tying huge port in the region.
The newspaper said that the headquarters of this economic zone will be within 37 miles of Akyab.
