The Myanmar military has besieged Arakan State, blocking the delivery of food and medicine. This has worsened the famine and led to the spread of diseases among civilians, most of whom are Rohingya. As a result, 25 people have died from severe hunger and 7 others from lack of medical care since the beginning of 2025.
