Hundreds of Rohingya Muslims forcefully driven from their villages in the city Buthidaung after Myanmar authorities launched a security inspection campaigns during which the cases of assault and harassment of women were reported.
Arakan News Agency correspondent reported that the joint forces of police and army launched operations with provocative inspections in the villages of Sawfrang and Shaab Bazaar, amid the fears of Rohingya villagers, of government forces committing violations, arbitrary arrests and cases of rape of girls, such as what happened to the towns and villages in Maungdaw since last October, noting that the men fled into the woods out of fear of arbitrary actions.
A local observers said that the systematic plan to exterminate Rohingyas from Arakan State stronghold of the Muslim minority began from the city Akyab state capital in June, 2012, and resulted in the displacement of hundreds of thousands of Rohingyas and the death of many of them also many fled across by the boats towards Indonesia and Malaysia.
The military campaign launched by the army in last October in the city of Maungdaw which resulted in fleeing of more than 50 thousand Rohingya to Bangladesh camps.
