A humanitarian activist reported that the United States has repatriated more than 150 Rohingya refugees from a single detention center in southern Thailand, expressing regret at Muslims’ failure to support them.
“I regret the failure of many Muslims countries and unfortunately America had a head start,” said the director of Hayat Foundation Mr. Abdulaziz bin Mirdah.
Mirdah said the center had only nine Rohingya refugees, including three women, while nearly 200 refugees had been in the country for three years earlier.
“We have succeeded in mobilizing emotions and public opinions regarding the issue, but we have not moved our hands and we have not helped them yet,” Bin Mirdah said.
It should be noted that the Hayat Foundation has been interested in the cause of the Rohingya Muslims since 2012 and carries out relief and humanitarian projects and support them in Arakan, Myanmar and refugees in Bangladesh, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, India and others.
