Hamid Albar calls “Organization of Islamic Cooperation” with the Bangladesh in resolving the Rohingya issue

Hamid Albar called on all Member States of the OIC with the help of Bangladesh to use the status as the closest neighbor of Myanmar to resolve the oppressed Rohingya Muslim crisis.
Hamid Albar, a former Special OIC Envoy to Myanmar, said that these steps are necessary after the Myanmar communicate with the Muslim countries individually.

“I think there is a need for joint efforts with the help of Bangladesh because it has some strengths as neighboring to Myanmar.”

He explained, “Myanmar has always been afraid of the size of Bangladesh ‘s population, which is more than a hundred million people, and if their number gathered it will be huge problem of Myanmar.”

This came in statements he made after attending the “a discussions on Rohingya crisis: current initiative of the role of Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Islamic world” at the International Islamic University of Malaysia.
He said: “Therefore, I believe that Malaysia, Turkey and the countries of the Middle East, which have no direct relationship with Myanmar, but it has the financial capacity, they have to join in solidarity.
