Global Rohingya Center discuss the issue of Rohingya with the UN High Commissioner for Refugees

Delegation of Global Rohingya Center (GRC) in Geneva, Switzerland the vice president of the center Mr. Mohammed Alam and Congress Chairman of Arakan Rohingya Union (ARU) Dr. Taher Mohammed Arkani and a number of Rohingya political and human rights figures were in High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Geneva on 18/09/2013 met the deputy director of the UNCHR Asia Ms. Josefa Oojano, Head of the Statelessness Unit Mr. Marc Manley and Legal Counsel Ms. Lev Vision.
During the meeting they discussed a number of critical issues regarding Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh and Arakan, also about the Rohingya detainees in the prisons of Thailand and other countries that fled persecution in Burma.

It was also during the visit they discuss ways to cooperate with UNHCR to deliver humanitarian aid to the displaced people and to improve their situation and also seek to decode the release of the detainees.

For its part, the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) expressed full readiness for all the things that are discussed from representatives of the GRC reported that they have offices in the city of Sittwe, Maungdaw, Buthidaung and Rathidaung and it raises the initial reports of all developments.
