French President Emmanuel Macron said his country had made some decisions with the UK on the issue of Rohingya Muslims during the UN General Assembly in New York City.
This came at a joint news conference on Monday with the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, Filippo Grandi at the Elysee Palace in Paris.
Macron did not touch on what decisions he made and whether those decisions would stop killing Muslims and discourage them from fleeing to Bangladesh.
Macron said he discussed with Grandi the issue of Rohingya in Myanmar and stressed the importance of continuing all pressure on the Myanmar government to stop the violence there.
Grandi pledged UNHCR’s support for refugees.
