The Federation of Muslim Scholars urged last Tuesday, that the Islamic countries need to establish a secretariat to coordinate health and education program for the Muslim minority, especially for Rohingya community.
The deputy chairman of the Federation Sheikh Abdul Hadi Awang at the opening of the international conference on Rohingya last Tuesday said that it can be supervised by the administrators from Kuala Lumpur under the auspices of the Malaysian government whenever its created.
He added: “The education and health program is very important because most Rohingya community, especially children, lack access to education and good health care.”
“We hope that these efforts will bear fruit, and thus can reduce the suffering of the Rohingya community.”
At the same time, Sheikh Abdul Hadi called on the Myanmar government to stop violence against Rohingya, and allow them to live as other ethnicities lives in that country.
This conference was held for three days with the participation of the Malaysian Public Safety and the International Institutes.
