Professor Waqar Uddin Director General of the Arakan Rohingya Union (ARU) delivered speech on ongoing Rohingya issues in Contemporary Challenges of Muslim minorities Conference held in Taiwan also highlighted their sufferings in Arakan State as they’re subjected to persecution at the hands of the Burmese government.
Dr. Waqar Uddin also spoke words of religious and ethnic persecution practiced against Muslim minorities in countries all over the world, citing that persecution practiced against Rohingya Muslims minority in Burma by the Buddhist extremist militias with the complicity of the government.
It is noteworthy that the conference opened on 13th April 2015 morning in the presence of the Secretary General of the Muslim World League Dr. Abdullah bin Turki and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Taiwan, “David L. Wai Lin,” and the participates from more than twenty countries including scientists, intellectuals, academics and etc.
