Arakan Rohingya Union (ARU) and Global Rohingya Center on Wednesday, March 18 protested in the broken chair square the in Geneva, in front of the Human Rights Council building to condemn the Burmese government’s policy to suppress Rohingya minority and prevent them from their basic rights.
The head of the delegation, Dr. Tahir Mohammad Siraj said the vigil was organized by the official approval of the Swiss government and was designed to draw the world’s attention towards the issue of Rohingya Muslims those are ignored despite the international resolutions and denounce the acts of crime against humanity on them by the Government of Burma.
It is noteworthy that the delegation participated last Monday in the 28th session meeting of Human Rights Council of United Nations in Geneva, on Tuesday the delegation hosted a seminar for the Rohingya issue within the Human Rights Council building and met with a number of international diplomatic figures.
