Eyewitnesses from Arakan state in western Myanmar said that the burning of Rohingya houses continues and that there is no pacification of Myanmar military operations.
In the past 48 hours, eyewitnesses and Rohingya activists have reported that several villages have been set ablaze and the displacement continues, with up to five thousand to seven thousand Rohnigya people reaching Bangladesh every day.
This comes to seventh week since the military operations in Arakan state began, and exceeded the number of Rohingyas fleeing to Bangladesh because of violence in their areas of six hundred thousand people.
It is noteworthy that several villages are witnessing internal displacement between the towns in the north of Arakan, where the displaced are walking a few days to reach the far north of the state in search of a safe place, away from the security forces that threaten to kill them if they do not leave, according to their testimonies.
