Burmese authorities have recently proceeded to distribute a new form to the Rohingyas in Arakan and forcing them to describe themselves as Bengali reported by correspondent, adding that the authorities are categorizing Rohingyas but their denying this procedure in many cases. And this step comes after the authorities try to withdraw the white cards from the hands of Rohingya.
As a card holder they were second-class citizens of Burma and that they have the right to participate in voting referendums and democratic elections which was denied by the Burmese authorities.
The Burmese authorities granted the white cards for Rohingya minority during the early nineties of the last century, the majority of Muslims who are in Arakan State and their population is estimated to more than a million people.
