Recently a Buddhist groups and political parties issued a joint statement threatening to escalate violence against minority Rohingya in Arakan State.
The Agency correspondent added that more than 10 Buddhist groups from various fields of politics and social has issued a joint statement condemning what it called the “suspicious trends” to the Myanmar government about its efforts to resolve the problem of Rohingya, adding that the statement included strong criticism for the government on forming a committee of international consultation led by former UN Secretary General Kofi Annan, adding that the signatories of the statement used a clear tone in direct threats to the Myanmar government to step up the violence again and fabricating unrest and disturbances against Rohingya minority of Arakan state in the event of a claim by the Advisory Committee to grant Rohingyas citizenship and give them human rights.
