Buddhist mayor imposed heavy fine on Rohingya family

The correspondent reported that the mayor of the town of Alushung in Buthidaung city of Arakan state has forced a Rohingya family to pay excessive fine amounted up to 400 thousand Myanmar Kyat on charges of logging for woods in nearby forest, pointing out that the Rohingya man and two of his sons were stopped by aides to the mayor on their way back with firewoods, forcing them to pay the fine approved for them under the threat of arrest and imprisonment.
