Broadcaster of the Burmese Language Bulletin in the ANA no longer with us

Rohingya preacher Sheikh Habibullah Mohammed Yunus passed away on Tuesday after he suffered a stroke on Monday that made him critically ill, he took his last breath this morning at Al-Zaher Hospital in Makkah.

The preacher is one of the most prominent individual who speaks Arabic, Burmese and Rohingya. He played a major role in educating pilgrims from Myanmar’s former capital Yangon. He also served as a volunteer for the Arakan news agency as a news anchor in Burmese.

The preacher has issued numerous booklets, tapes and translated recordings in the field of Tawheed, Hajj rituals and the ethics of visiting historical places and others.

The management of the Rohingya Media Center and the Arakan News Agency (ANA) offer the deepest condolences and sincere sympathy in the death of this esteemed individual and ask Allah to have mercy on him and to bestow his family with patience and solace.
