The Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina urged the Government of Myanmar to resolve the issue of Rohingya minority in her country by using political means, saying that military measures can not be a solution to the problem.
This came in an interview with the Danish ambassador, who was newly appointed to the Dhaka Mr. Mikael Hemniti Winther according to the report published by The Daily Star newspaper.
The Press Secretary to Prime Minister Mr.Ihsanul Karim reported that she said: “Rohingya issue is a political problem can not be solved militarily.”
Karim said that the two sides discussed various issues relating to mutual interests as well as many global issues, including the problem of Rohingya in Myanmar.
