Second Deputy Speaker of the House Bahraini MP Abdul Halim Murad, received the President of the Global Rohingya Center (GRC) and Assistant General Manager of Arakan Rohingya Union (ARU) Sheikh Abdullah Maroof with the accompanying delegation at his office Wednesday morning.
During the meeting, they discussed the situation of Muslims in Burma and how to contribute to the development of appropri…ate solutions also talked about ways to defend their basic rights to live in dignity and to prevent infringement on them.
The delegation also explained the great suffering of the Rohingya Muslims how they are exposed to injustice and genocide in Burma.
Murad stressed during the meeting this issue needs for parliamentary efforts at the level of Arab and Asian Parliament and human rights organizations to demand their rights internationally, as well as establish relief programs to provide assistance to them through communication with charities and humanitarian organizations.
