Assistant of Bahraini Foreign Minister Mr. Abdullah bin Faisal bin Jabor Al Dosari expressed his country ‘s concern about the continuing plight of the Rohingya Muslims minority in Myanmar and the denial of basic human rights internationally recognized, and exposure to inhuman treatment in detention camps and preventing humanitarian aid from reaching their areas and the forcibly displacement of thousands of them to neighboring countries where they live as refugees.
This came in his speech during the foreign ministers of member states in Islamic Cooperation Organization ‘ meeting in Kuala Lumpur today to discuss the issue of Rohingya in Myanmar.
Al Dosari added that the Islamic nation today is facing many challenges from pain and suffering to displacements in many parts of the world, and the cause of Rohingya Muslims is only one of these challenges faced the Islamic nation.
He added that the continuation of this ordeal for many years prevented the international community to reach a fundamental and concrete solution on the ground which is unacceptable and constitutes a challenge to the international community in general and the OIC in particular, calling on the organizations to look for ways in cooperation and coordination with the international community to put an end to this human tragedy.
Pressuring the Myanmar government to stop all types of violations committed against civilians of the minority Rohingya so they can live in peace and security, like any other citizens of Myanmar.
